Be Well Program

Program Overview

Youth and adults need readily available strategies to deal with stress and anxiety. As part of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), ESD 123 has introduced a tiered approach to wellness for both students and staff. The Be Well Program is facilitated by Kelly Bolson, a certified Yoga Teacher and Social-Emotional Learning facilitator certified with over 200 hours through Breathe for Change. Mindfulness, meditation, breathwork and mindful movement are wellness strategies that can complement tier I efforts, specifically around staff self-care and student social emotional learning and mental health. These incredible strategies align with the Washington State Social Emotional Learning Standards (CASEL), and can be incorporated with students of all ages, including PK-12, as well as school staff and families. The use of tools such as breathwork, mindful movement, and visualization, are skills we can build through intentional practice and utilize throughout our lives!

What we have to offer:

  1. FOR STAFF & STUDENTS: A facilitated, 60–75-minute experience with take-away activities to use with students and families
  2. FOR TEACHERS: Co-teaching/modeling for use in class
  3. FOR FAMILIES & SCHOOLS: A facilitated, 30-minute Parent and Family Night experience with take-away activities to use at home
  4. FOR SCHOOL DISTRICTS, BUSINESSES, & ORGANIZATIONS: Facilitated breakout sessions for conferences or professional development
