Strong career-based programs already exist across Southeastern Washington, from CTE courses and dual credit options to internships and industry training. ESD 123 Career Connected Learning (CCL) helps align these efforts between K-12 schools, higher education, and employers, so students experience a clear journey, while saving time and simplifying engagement for educational and workforce partners.
What We Have to Offer:
- Career Connected Learning (CCL) is the system for delivering work-based learning experiences and aligning career pathways for students, following three stages:
- Discover: Working together with partners, the CCL Coordinator will identify what’s currently in place and what’s needed.
- Design: Align efforts alongside other partners’ needs and existing pathways to create a plan.
- Deliver: Begin implementing the plan and start bringing work-based learning to students. CCL Coordinator will assist with logistics to ensure partners can focus on students.
- Work-Based Learning (WBL) provides hands-on, real-world experiences within CCL to build student readiness, connecting student data to worksite tours, job shadows, internships, apprenticeships, and more
- Guidance through the E5 Framework for Readiness™: Exposure, Exploration, Education, Experience, Employment
