Many schools and districts across our region participate in the Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch Program or as Community Eligibility Provision schools. Through these designations,
families of students in these schools also can qualify for a $30 monthly discount on internet service through the
Affordable Connectivity Program! The Affordable Connectivity Program through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) helps connect families and households struggling to afford internet service. This new benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers.
To apply, visit AffordableConnectivity.gov or call 1-877-384-2575 to request an application. Once you complete the application, contact your participating internet service provider to start receiving your monthly discount.
