Educational Service District 123 invites the public to visit the 2026 Regional Middle School Art Exhibit, on display April 13 through April 24, 2026, at the ESD 123 building in Pasco. Now in its eighth year, the show features 124 pieces of art created by students in 6th-8th grade, representing middle schools from one private school and seven school districts across southeast Washington.
For 2026, the show introduced six awards for artwork selected by the ESD 123 Superintendent, A.R.T.S. (Artful Response to Tiered Support) program staff, art show coordinators, and other ESD 123 staff:
- Superintendent's Choice: "Untitled" by Hailey Appleton, Columbia Middle School
- One Team Award (ESD 123 staff choice): "Paper Samurai" by Willis Anderton, Pioneer Middle School (Walla Walla Public Schools)
- ARTS Award: "Cacti" by Kera Yates, Pioneer Middle School (Walla Walla Public Schools)
- Heart of the Arts Award: "Collage" by Asher Casey, Leona Libby Middle School (Richland School District)
- Heart of the Arts Award: "Gladiator" by Joella Reid, Pasco Innovative eXperiences & e-Learning (PIXeL) (Pasco School District)
- Heart of the Arts Award: "Whisper of Spring" by Paetyn Driscoll, Kahlotus Middle School
An opening reception and awards ceremony, open to all participating students and their families, friends, and teachers, was on Thursday, April 16.
