PURPOSE:

A major emphasis of the ESD 123 Student Support department is focused on prevention of youth marijuana and tobacco use. Located in eastern Washington, our programs also focus on serving the Latino/Hispanic communities as we work to remove barriers and provide behavioral health and intervention services. Thanks to funding from the Department of Health under their Youth Cannabis and Commercial Tobacco Prevention Program (YCCTPP), we are thrilled to launch our 2022-2023 Youth Art Contest, “Share Your Art – Share Your Culture!" We are soliciting youth artwork that culturally resonates with the Hispanic/Latino population of Washington state and promotes and celebrates substance-free spaces and lifestyles.

The 2022-2023 Youth Art Contest will result in two products:

  • A set of 10 unique stickers that promote the resources found at Teen Link and You Can WA.
  • A coloring book that promotes substance use prevention, mental health awareness, mindfulness, and reflection
