Teacher / Educator Art Exhibit

ESD 123 Regional Teacher Art Exhibit

Entry in this exhibit is limited to certificated school employees serving in kindergarten through 12th grade in public or private schools within the ESD 123 region. (See list of districts below.) Depending on response and facility space, artwork selected for display may be limited to four (4) entries per teacher. The deadline for all entry forms is September 27, 2019.

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Artists must submit both a completed Registration Form and a Permission Form to enter any artwork into the installation.
  2. ALL artwork submitted must be completely original. If artwork is determined to be a copy or employs copyrighted images without protection from fair use copyright law, it will be disqualified from the exhibition.
  3. Each artist may enter up to four (4) pieces of artwork.
  4. Size requirements (not including 1 inch border described below):
    • Maximum size (2D artwork): 36 x 48 inches
  5. For display purposes:
    • All artwork (excluding ceramics and 3D art) must include a wire or other mounting mechanism on the back for hanging purposes.
  6. Artists my not enter:
    • Career and technical education (CTE) works such as floriculture, clothing/fashion design, etc.
    • Crafts
    • Home goods, such as edible foods or plants
    • Quilts, knitted or sewn objects
*Note: Depending on response and space, artwork on display may be limited at the ESD’s discretion. If limitations are needed, the ESD will notify artists in advance so that they may select which artwork to exclude and return.

Exhibit Timeline:

  • September 27: Entry forms due to [email protected]

  • October 1: All artwork to be delivered by teachers to the ESD 123 Professional Development Center between 12:00-5:00 PM (unless other arrangements are made)

  • October 3 to November 1: Teacher Art Exhibit on display

  • November 4: Teachers pick up their artwork from ESD 123 between 12:00-4:00 PM (unless other arrangements are made)

Artwork will be on display and open to the public between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday from October 3 to November 1 at the ESD 123 Professional Development Center, located at 3924 W. Court St. in Pasco.
