ESD 123 Crisis Response Team is to provide a geographical and coordinated response to a critical event that impacts the emotional safety of students in schools. The Response Team provides counseling to students, staff and families during and after at the school site and in the community.
No one wants to experience a crisis or traumatic event and being prepared with resources that are immediately available to deal with the emotional needs of those that have been impacted by the crisis or traumatic event is extremely important. The Response team is made up of ESD personnel with backgrounds in crisis counseling and administration.
Present Services:
Provide immediate deployment of counselors to crisis site;
Provide resources such as handouts and other information for Administrators, school staff, students, parents on dealing with the crisis or traumatic event;
Provide follow-up services for ongoing debriefing as needed.
