"Set Your Clocks, Check Your Stocks”

The end of daylight saving time on Nov. 2 signals the American Public Health Association’s “Get Ready: Set Your Clocks, Check Your Stocks” new materials to promote each family having a stocked emergency preparedness kit.

The "Get Set Emergency Preparedness Project Kit" http://www.getreadyforflu.org/clocksstocks/GetSetHighSchoolKit.pdf gets high school students involved in emergency preparedness and offers tools to engage them.

It is also a good time for us to remember our own emergency preparedness.  The "Get Set High School Kit" above has a checklist.  If you are not prepared, now is a good time to start.  Just buy one or two things from the list each week and you will soon have all the supplies to be prepaired for an emergency.
