The Certificate of Academic Achievement Student Learning Plan was developed to help assure continued progress in academic achievement as a foundation and to assure that all students are on track for high school graduation.
Each school district in the State of Washington needs to provide a plan for all students in 8-12th grade who were not successful on any or all of the content areas of the WASL during the previous year or who may not be on track to graduate due to credit deficiencies or absences. All 5th-7th grade students who were not successful in one or more of the content areas (Math, Reading, Writing, and Science) of the 4th-6th grade WASL are required to have a SLP.
