Background Knowledge of PLC
Our region hosted a Professional Learning Communities Conference in 2006. This was an awareness level, two-day conference in which participants received an overview of: Critical Friends, Lesson Study, Schlechty Protocols and NWREL Professional Learning Teams. The PLC concept has been a major thrust of our regional work for over a year.
We have a long-range plan promoting the implementation of PLCs that includes central office administrators, building administrators and teachers.
