Educational Service District 123, in partnership with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), has provided pre-employment training and support for more than 800 students with disabilities in 17 school districts this year. The program offers trainings on topics including resume writing, planning for life after high school, goal setting, and interview skills, as well as work-based learning experiences such as job shadows and paid internships.

“We are really seeing a significant impact from our work on helping students realize their dreams and aspirations,” says ESD Transition Specialist Krisheena Mason.

ESD 123 has had an incredible response from local and regional businesses interested in hosting job shadows and internships. Special thanks are owed to Career Path Services and Columbia Industries. These two companies have been amazing partners in preparing students for life after high school.
