Helping Students Succeed in Rural Areas

daydreaming ESD 123 has been awarded over $1,158,000 to support a project that will provide school counselors to all elementary schools in Walla Walla and Pomeroy, Washington.

The HELPS (Helping Every Learner Prepare for Success) project seeks to provide school counselors for seven elementary schools in rural Southeastern Washington State that currently have no such resource.

Summer HSPE Testing

The Teaching & Learning Department is hosting the Summer 2010 High School Proficiency Exam (HSPE) - formerly the WASL - for presently registered students from the Finley, Kiona-Benton and Prescott School Districts.

Testing will be August 9-12, 2010 in the ESD 123 Blue Mountain Room at 3918 W Court St, and will cover Writing, Reading and Mathematics.
